New York National Guard
Subservient to the Commander-in-Chief of the Protectorate, the National Guard is responsible for the protection of the Capital and other territories of the Protectorate, and specialized units such as the 91st Air-Division and the Military Police are responsible for duties such as martial law enforcement and ceremonial as well as guarding duties.
Departments of the New York National Guard
The National Guard consists of the Military Police, 11th Division, and the 91st Air-Division.
The Military Police are responsible for law enforcement within the Imperial War Authority, and assume civil law enforcement during the activation of the 11th Division.
The 11th Division is the primary garrison unit within the Capital, and is responsible for civil enforcement when activated by the Governor or Commander-in-Chief of the Protectorate
The 91st Air-Division 'Lord Protector' is the ceremonial unit of the Imperial War Authority in the Capital of the Protectorate and the Honor Guard of the Lord Protector, responsible for guarding his person, places of residence, work, and those of the Governor of the Capital of the Protectorate.

Duties
The New York National Guard is responsible for both enforcement of order and law when times of emergency are declared by the Governor. During this time, the Military Police would assume duties of civil law enforcement with assistance from the New York Police Department, while the 11th Division would begin restoring order in the Capital area.
Conclusion
The NYNG plays a vital role in the protection of the Capital Area, as well as the protection of important personnel such as the Lord Protector and the Governor being done by the 91st Air-Division.
