National Security Bureau
Subservient to the Commissioner General of the Protectorate, the New York branch of the National Security Bureau is tasked with ensuring the loyalty, stability and security of the Imperial American Protectorate for the purposes of strengthening the German Empire.
Powers of the New York Police Department
The National Security Bureau within the Protectorate are afforded plenary authority over security and law enforcement matters.
The National Security Bureau employs Protective Custody Orders against all individuals who the Protectorate must be defended against or against those whose detrimental actions require protection from the righteous fury of the American People. As the highest political policing branch of the Empire, they may request to see all files of other policing agencies for the purpose of conducting investigations.
The before mentioned powers are entrusted via the National Security Administration Act
Duties
The National Security Bureau, as the premier law enforcement agency within the Empire, is tasked with keeping the stability within the German Empire. To ensure this duty is upheld, they employ a variety of tactics, to include:
- Intelligence Coordination – Coordinates the gathering and analysis of information from multiple law enforcement agencies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of all possible threats.
- Counter-Terrorism – Leads all efforts to combat terrorism by coordinating with law enforcement agencies to detect and prevent hostile attacks.
- Counter-Intelligence – Ensures that the intelligence operations of foreign nations against the German Empire are completely thwarted.
The New York branch of the NSB are further tasked with the enforcement of the National Security Directive, established by the N.S.A Act, to the extent directed by the Generalkommissar von Nordamerika. This branch office is limited to 9 Agents, to include its Regional Director.
