Subservient to the Generalkommissar von Nordamerika, the New York branch of the National Security Bureau is tasked with ensuring the loyalty, stability and security of the Imperial American Protectorate for the purposes of strengthening the German Empire.
Powers of the New York Police Department
The National Security Bureau within the Protectorate are afforded plenary authority over security and law enforcement matters.
The National Security Bureau employs Protective Custody Orders against all individuals who the Protectorate must be defended against or against those whose detrimental actions require protection from the righteous fury of the American People. As the highest political policing branch of the Empire, they may request to see all files of other policing agencies for the purpose of conducting investigations.

- Counter-Terrorism – Leads all efforts to combat terrorism by coordinating with law enforcement agencies to detect and prevent hostile attacks.
- Counter-Intelligence – Ensures that the intelligence operations of foreign nations against the German Empire are completely thwarted.
The New York branch of the NSB are further tasked with the enforcement of the National Security Directive, established by the N.S.A Act, to the extent directed by the Generalkommissar von Nordamerika.
